I decided to use a different color on the edge of the hem of my Holly sweater and boy do I regret it. Not that I don’t like the color of the edge but I can’t see shit. I can’t do the Italian bind off without straining my eyes. Gonna pause for now & I’ll attempt to do this in broad daylight instead.

I survived the yarn hydra! I finished #knitting the motif and boy it was not fun to juggle six, yes six balls of yarn to knit my holly motif. But yay I survived. Now I can continue with the boring bits of the pattern.

I’m watching this Puma-Adidas documentary on Disney+ and there’s this clearly North American girl who was asked to describe Puma’s logo and she tells the camera that it’s a jaguar. 🙈 It’s beyond embarrassing.

A few weeks ago, after I got admitted to the University of Amsterdam’s
Chemistry masters program, I put together the curriculum that fits my interest and educational background. It’s going through an approval right now but I wonder whether I should have included the chemical sensors course. 🙈

Aside from exercising 3x a week, #knitting helped me lose weight. That’s because I am too busy focusing on my work over thinking about food. My dietician was right about keeping my hands busy so I don’t end up eating too much.

I like #knitting patterns that start you off with a neckband because lord knows picking up those stitches to create a neckband later on is a pain in the butt. I hate it so much. The neckband is my sleeve island.

I started a #knitting #journal to document my journey. I started knitting again mid-September (15th to be exact) and so far I’ve finished 5 objects: a baby blanket, a sweater vest, a scarf, and two sweaters. I am too lazy to take photos of everything but will do it when I get better natural light.

I know a lot of knitters don’t enjoy knitting the sleeves of a sweater or cardigan but I happen to enjoy them because they just go so fast (thanks to decreases). It’s the body that takes forever to knit. Sleeve island >>>> body island.

I try to cuddle my cat on a daily basis because I don’t ever want the day to come where I regret not having cuddled her enough. I love miss Emi sooooo much.

Found a way to trick myself into doing things I hate like exercising. I call it the point of no return where I put myself in a situation where there’s no going back like hopping on my bike to go to spin class. It’s no longer a question of whether I’m gonna do it because I already am doing it.

I got some shorties a couple weeks ago and these needles and accompanying cables came in clutch today as I was #knitting the sleeves of my Monday sweater. 🎉

Just finished my Olga sweater (will post pics tomorrow) and I just ordered two kits from Knitting for Olive. I need to start making my Christmas and New Year’s sweaters if I want to wear them in time for the holidays. I will be making the Holly sweater and the Snow sweater. #knitting

Got my illustrated copy of Goblet of Fire today and so far it looks consistent in the style of MinaLima. Front cover side by side comparison with book 3, so far it looks consistent with the style.
