Expressive Animator v1.6.0 is now available for download. This version brings support for negative letter spacing, splitting text into lines and words (in addition to chars), and other fixes and improvements.

Expressive Animator v1.5.1 is out, and it brings support for importing SVG filters. Currently, we support all CSS filters and a small subset of the filter primitives, with more to be added in future releases.

Expressive Animator v1.5.0 comes with new features like SVG text import, enhanced capabilities for the Gradient and Text tools, position tooltip for guides, and many bug fixes and improvements. Also, the trials have been reset, so you can try all the new additions.

The first tests with vector brushes in Expressive Canvas are highly encouraging. We added support for creating custom brushes from vectors (see at 01:00), and it works wonderfully. Of course, the UI is just for testing purposes; the final work will be much more advanced and appealing. 😁

Yo! If y'all have been looking for a good alternative to After Effects for puppet animation, I discovered a software called Expressive Animator!

Been practicing making emotes in it, and it's been amazing so far! Can't recommend it enough, if you're looking for a good simple 2D puppet animator!
