Sunday Reflection: Let’s Be Found on the Right Side of the Story

There are days when the easiest thing in the world is to look the other way. To say, “That’s not mine to carry,” and get back to the comfort of our own corner of life. And I get it.

STAND IN THE GAP. I grew up knowing right was right and wrong was wrong. Every summer, I traveled to Mexico to work alongside good humans building homes & churches. I spent my time in disaster relief, helping those who couldn’t help themselves. It wasn’t about charity—it was about humanity.

Our Voice, Our Choice: Protecting Our National Parks & Public Lands!

Our national parks and public lands are treasures that need our support. We can all make a difference through our voice and choice—because these places don’t protect themselves.

Heal & Hustle for Our Parks—and More!

Right now, we are fighting for our parks, but this call to action applies to all public services that impact you—U.S. Forestry, Education, Immigration, and more. Our voices matter, and here’s how you can take action:

I am heartbroken. I am angry. And I will not be silent.

Yesterday, countless Forest Service employees were let go.

Today, it’s the National Park Service. The very people who protect our public lands, who dedicate their lives to preserving the places we cherish, are being cast aside.

Our Thank A Ranger Project is growing in a BIG way!
A huge shoutout to Colleen Rooney, an Expeditions in Education board member and Ambassador, for spearheading this initiative within our STEAM in the PARK family. Thanks to her passion and dedication, this project has expanded tremendously!

🌿✨ We #StandWithTheParks ✨🌿

At Expeditions in Education, we’ve had the incredible honor of working alongside hundreds of park rangers, scientists, volunteers, and friends groups. Their mission has always been the same: educate the humans, preserve the stories.

🌍✨ Do Something. ✨🌍

The world needs more people who care. Care about our national parks. Care about our communities. Care about education. Care about each other.

A11 #ParkChat: We already bring this idea to life with our Virtual National Parks Expedition Challenge! Students and educators explore parks from anywhere in the world, engaging in real-world science challenges, virtual field trips, and hands-on activities that connect them to national parks.

Q11 #ParkChat If you had unlimited funding to launch a “kids in parks” adventure program, what would it look like? (Helicopter hikes? Underwater classroom? A treehouse school?) 🏕️🚀
February 6, 2025 at 2:55 AM
#ParkChat Grand Teton National Park and Rangers Megan and Dyani are awesome and are so helpful with our educators there.
February 6, 2025 at 2:54 AM
A10 #ParkChat: I’d take them to Yellowstone and start with the geysers! Watching Old Faithful erupt would be the perfect way to show them how wild and unpredictable Earth’s landscapes can be. But, I’d rather take educators than aliens—sharing these moments with passionate teachers.

#ParkChat- Our parks are living classrooms. A place to learn. Just filmed at Bent's Old Fort and challenged students to help them protect the adobe forts. Our students are eager and ready to help.

Q10 #ParkChat If you could take an alien on a tour of one national park to show them the best of Earth, where would you take them and what would you show them first? 👽🏕️
February 6, 2025 at 2:50 AM
#ParkChat- just think! For 46 minutes, the craziness of our world has gone away as we appreciate nature and encourage each other to be good humans. Simple as that!
February 6, 2025 at 2:47 AM
A9 #ParkChat: Voyageurs National Park would have a haunting, yet beautiful mix of northern folk and ambient sounds—loon calls, rustling trees, and the distant howls of wolves.
February 6, 2025 at 2:46 AM
A8: #ParkChat We also take educators, college kids, and park rangers to national park sites in the summer. #STEAMinthepARK. This is year 5. 40 parks over 1200 campers.
February 6, 2025 at 2:45 AM
Q9 #ParkChat If national parks had their own theme songs, what genre would your favorite park’s music be? (Rocky Mountain = bluegrass? Everglades = jazz? Yellowstone = classical?) 🎶🌲✨
