In 1998, Rickey "Fuquan" McGee was sentenced to life in prison in Boston for the robbery and murder of a convenience store clerk. He was exonerated in 2025 based on evidence that police and prosecutors withheld evidence.

In 2012, Vincent Wallace was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of a former police officer in Philadelphia. He was #exonerated in 2023, after a court ruled that a detective in the case had a well-documented history of witness tampering.

Joe David Padron was sentenced to life in prison for murder in Corpus Christi, Texas, in 2004. He was #exonerated in 2025, after presenting evidence that jailhouse informants had testified falsely and the only eyewitness to the shooting was mistaken in his ID.

In 1991, William Jamerson was sentenced to 34 years in prison for rape and robbery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was #exonerated in 2025 after DNA testing excluded him as the rapist.

In 2000, Daniel Pina was sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to the 1997 murder of a cab driver in Dorcester, Mass. He was #exonerated in 2025 based on evidence that he had falsely confessed and that his co-defendant had falsely implicated him.

In 2019, John "Brandon" Lamotte of Frankfort, Ky., was convicted of first-degree assault in the stabbing of a neighbor. He was exonerated in 2025, after the neighbor recanted her trial testimony, and an appellate court ruled the conviction had insufficient evidence.

In 1976, Raymond Gaines was sentenced to life in prison without parole for a murder in Roxbury, Mass. He was #exonerated in 2025 based on evidence that police officers falsely testified that he had confessed and police reports that supported his innocence.

In 1983 and again in 1988, Subramanyam Vedam was convicted of murdering his friend near State College, Pa. He was #exonerated in 2025, after his attorneys discovered reports from the FBI that discredited the forensic testimony connecting Vedam to the crime.

In 2019, Patience Frazier was sentenced to 2 years and six months to 8 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the death of her son in Winnemucca, Nev. She was #exonerated in 2025 based on medical evidence that the child was stillborn.

In 2010, Michael Pearson was sentenced to 60 years in prison after he was convicted of felony counts stemming from an attack and robbery in Manning, S.C. He was #exonerated in 2025 after his co-defendant admitted that Pearson was not involved.

In 1999, 18-year-old Oscar Eagle was sentenced to life in prison plus 25 years for attempted murder in Los Angeles. He was #exonerated in 2025 based on evidence that he was elsewhere at the time of the shooting, plus several other factors.

In 1998, Bryan Hooper Sr. was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a 77-year-old woman in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was #exonerated in 2025 after his chief accuser admitted that she had committed the murder and falsely implicated Hooper.

In 1992, Allen Andre Causey was convicted of the murder of a 21-year-old college student in Austin, Texas. He was #exonerated in 2025 based on DNA testing which linked another man to the crime, as well as evidence that Causey's confession was false.

In 1984, Marando Warthen was convicted of two counts of murder in Baltimore. He was #exonerated in 2023 and received state compensation in 2025 after presenting evidence challenging the credibility of the forensic evidence connecting him to the crime scene.

José Armando Torres Rivera was convicted of participating in a gang rape and other crimes in 1991 in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He was #exonerated in 2020 after DNA analysis excluded him from biological evidence recovered from the survivor's clothing.
