I despise recommender algorithms for social media. I believe we should build communities of people who take care about how much and what quality they post. 21C version of virtue friendship, but I can also argue it on computational and communication efficiency grounds.

With twitter algorithms, how many people block you (and how influential they are) influences who sees you. May be a failed or preemptive effort to port a political strategy that worked there.

Short presentation (< 15mins) on just how vanishingly small are our remaining carbon budgets for 1.5 & 2°C - both globally & when downscaled to wealthy industrialised nations. In a handful of years our Paris 2°C commitment will go the way same way as has 1.5°C.

What's wrong with this platform is, @jackdodo.bsky.social should note, it's a dummy neolib snitching platform that is trying to flag users for violating the most inconsequential kind of political speech conventions of the day. A platform where you can't voice your opinions freely is useless.
