The Corridor is a gripping story of how mountains, climbing & secret shame can shape a life.

Wild places, vivid characters & turbulent relationships frame a narrative of extraordinary emotional survival in the face of childhood rape.

"In no way is ‘The Corridor’ a “tough read” ... it’s quite the opposite... The abuse Iain was subjected to as a child is described in succinct yet powerful writing. Climbing and mountaineering form the backdrop but the book is predominantly about relationships."

Iain has finally got his book finished. Huge landmark on a long journey. It's wonderfully moving to hear stong, positive responses from people who've read it so far.
The book's now available from his website.

Children are losing months of playtime during their school lives, argues former children's commissioner Anne Longfield. Here, she sets out how to fix that.
Let’s make more time for play in the school day
If we want to improve wellbeing among young people of all ages, we should ensure school gives them a chance to explore, create and have fun with one another, says Anne Longfield
