Paulownia Tomentosa / Bluebell Tree Seed Capsules. Black and white large format photography. This is the first image in my series ‘Nature’ featuring botanical objects. The project was realised in collaboration with the Friends of the Badenweiler Spa and Castle Park Association. I worked on this series for over a year, taking one 8x10 inch film shot every day. The series was exhibited in 2010 as prints on canvas in the Kurhaus and in the Badenweiler thermal baths, as well as cyanotypes in Hecklingen Castle. More images from this series can be found on my website https://ewaldvorberg.de/homepage/albums/portfolio/nature/ This image fundamentally changed my photography. I learned a lot about light and technical cameras through this series. Ultimately, it also led to portrait and nude photography becoming my most important areas of work. All images in these areas were taken after 2011. ‘Paulownia Tomentosa’ is therefore by far the most important image I have ever taken.

Paulownia Tomentosa / Bluebell Tree Seed Capsules. Black and white large format photography. This is the first image in my series ‘Nature’ featuring botanical objects. Colour photography on expired cross-processed expired Agfachrome RSXII 200. The film was not well stored but often good for a pleasant surprise. GX680III camera with 3.2/125.

Just had my two Polaroid SX-70 upgraded to work with 600 film. This is a confirmation that this works as intended.

Two Polaroid SX-70 cameras that have been modified to use 600 film. These show test images from the service that modified the cameras, and they look great! The modification is much more sophisticated than just swapping a capacitor. It uses a newly developed circuit that is Bluetooth-enabled so that it can also be controlled manually. I expect to have these cameras in my hands in about two weeks, and I'm looking forward to using them with 600 film – one for color, one for black and white. I'm not providing this service, nor do I have any business affiliation with them. I just thought this might be of interest to anyone who relies on SX-70 film.
