Winter sowed amaranth seeds for a dramatic pop of color in my fall garden! 🌟 The 'Dreadlocks' variety is a favorite of mine - those long, curly tassels are beautiful. Has anyone else had success with winter sowing amaranth? What are your tips? 🤔 #WinterSowing #Amaranth #Dreadlocks #GardeningTips"

In the heart of the garden sits a charming old bird bath. Beloved by birds, beloved by bees 🐝, and a joy for me 🥲.

Gardening offers countless opportunities for learning. Today, I took delivery of Pinto and Yukon Gem potatoes, late and early varieties, respectively, certified by Maine Organic Farmers and Growers Assn. in a Polish tabloid about "a 40 yr old man with his 1st wife". I'll update you on both.

Nature's clock is ticking away! 16 days after planting sweet potatoes, a garnet slip has emerged, followed by 3 more today. The ginger may need a bit more time, but with some extra warmth from the heating pad, I'm optimistic it'll make an appearance. I’m excited to observe the root structure grow.

I planted snow peas and snap peas today. I learned a new thing, that the best time to plant them is when they are under 3 in tall. So as soon as they were fully up, I got them out there! 🌱

I have tons of rosemary in my garden. I love it. And it's so easy to propagate. Just clip 4-5" of new growth, strip the bottom 2" of the stem, and plant it. It will grow. And voila, new plants. 🌱😀

I'm excited to breathe new life into my lower level office, turning it into a vibrant gardening workspace, and convert the upstairs guest room into a cozy nursery. Next, I'm looking forward to overcoming the challenges of germinating ginger.
