Some of the flamingos that were blown into the US from Hurricane Imelda decided to stay.
A few pictures from June ago at the Haulover Canal kayak launch area in Florida. The closest vantage point from land is about a half mile (~0.8km), just inside the reach of my camera.

Fun fact: There is actually precedent for an alternate appearance appearing in the middle of a regeneration. The tricky bit is that it isn't the Doctor's regeneration -- it's Romana's.

My hot take on the underserved character for SNW season 3: Spock.
Spock has a similar problem to Chapel -- he is mostly used a foil for other characters. Even "the Vulcan episode" doesn't say anything about him.

My reaction to SNW 3x10 is pretty much the same as season 3 of Picard:
The character stuff was good-to-great, but the story itself was so much woo and nonsense.
