Amp arrived, installed (after a bit of kerfuffle when I discovered it’s too narrow to be placed under the turntable) and tested.
Even with my antique stock cartridge, Rumours never sounded more clear and detailed. It’s an absolute beauty.
Plus I’m now able to stream all my FLAC on it 😁.

Right. New amp (Sony STR-DH190) should arrive tomorrow to replace my busted 1991 NAD 308. Also found a deal on a Yamaha CD-S303 to replace my old Technics that’s quietly failing as well.
Left me budget for a new cartridge, an Audio-Technica AT-VM95E.
Should hear the difference 😅.

Right. New amp (Sony STR-DH190) should arrive tomorrow to replace my busted 1991 NAD 308. Also found a deal on a Yamaha CD-S303 to replace my old Technics that’s quietly failing as well.
Left me budget for a new cartridge, an Audio-Technica AT-VM95E.

I understand compromises had to be made if they wanted to keep a detachable saucer, but I do find it a teensy tiny bit sad that #LEGO didn’t manage to get a structure to emulate the Battle Bridge on top of the #Enterprise #NCC-1701-D main body.
