🏳️‍⚧️On this Trans Day of Remembrance, we hold tight to the memories of the trans friends, family, and loved ones we’ve lost — especially those taken from us because they lacked the legal protections of their rights and freedoms to be their fullest selves.

That’s why it's important to make HIV testing a regular part of health care, especially for Black people and our communities, which are disproportionately affected by the HIV epidemic.

🌱In our just-released op-ed for @statnews.com @cre8tivecadence.bsky.social & I share our thoughts on the critical need for community-centered governance in #generativeAI in both health care & public health, moving away from top-down approaches to ones that are from the ground up.

#healthequity
Engage the community in generative AI for public health
Slower uptake of generative AI in public health provides a unique opportunity to embed community accountability before more of these models are fully scaled.

Integrating mental health support into HIV treatment improves retention in care and viral suppression, especially in Black communities, because true healing addresses both the body and the mind. What’s one thing you wish more people understood about mental health and HIV?

Black Pride is not just a party — it's a powerful declaration.

It’s where melanin meets magic, and queerness meets community. It's our space to shine, uplift, and live out loud.

This day shines a light on the injustice of HIV criminalization and amplifies the voices of those impacted by these laws.

In over 30 states, people are still being imprisoned simply for their HIV status. It’s time to stand up and speak out against these laws that punish people living with HIV.

Today is #HIVIsNotaCrime Awareness Day.

In more than two dozen U.S. states, people living with HIV can be imprisoned due to their status.

HIV criminalization laws are a form of anti-Black structural homophobia as they disproprotionately impact Black same gender loving men.
