I would like to believe #Elio isn’t “Pixar doesn’t know how to make good films anymore,” but rather “Disney doesn’t know how to market original films anymore in an environment they’ve created, packed stupid with cash-grab retreads of known IP.”

Pixar, left to be Pixar, makes good movies.

I literally cannot remember the last time I’ve gone into a @littlecaesars.bsky.social and was able to walk right out with a “Hot and Ready” pizza. Not even their Express locations. If they have to tell you it will be a 7-9 minute wait for a pizza, it may be hot but it is categorically NOT “Ready.”

Just spent the weekend listing over a hundred items on Marketplace because they had better shipping label rates and now they’re going to make you do your own labels? Well I guess I’m going to have to move it all over to eBay.

Anyone at @warnerbrospictures.bsky.social that could do us a solid and give us a Blu-ray or even a digital release of this very underrated gem?

I don't get how I get so many 5% offers on eBay items I follow, but I send out 15-20% offers to potential buyers and no one bites.

You know how some products are forced to call themselves “dairy-based desserts” instead of ice cream?

If you can’t cut through a simple piece of lasagna, a disposable fork should be forced to be called a “plastic-based cutlery toy.”

Does BlueSky's "see less like this" function actually do anything, or is like the suggestion box that empties itself into the office shredder?

Why is Disney still dragging their feet so hard on moving their catalog titles to 4K in 2025. On disc and streaming.

The streaming age is over. #ownwhatyoulove #physicalmediaforever
Scoop: Warner Bros. Discovery has quietly pulled "The West Wing" from its Max streamer as part of a cost-cutting move following a ROI evaluation. Details in @status.news: link.status.news/3C72V5Z

I know it's not very environmentally-friendly of me to say, but I really hope that when the music industry is done killing the vinyl renaissance that the CD longbox makes a comeback.

This year I’ve been watching a lot more football than I ever have, no matter if it’s a Packers game or not. I am in no way knowledgeable about football or other teams, but as a Packers fan and a hater of big dumb egos, there’s something really satisfying about watching the Jets flail and suffer.

Unpopular opinion: At least 90% of “Greatest Hits” or “Best Of” compilation albums are absolutely fantastic. That’s especially true when you consider the astronomical price of vinyl records these days. I don’t care if they have a bad rap.

Is there anything comparable in universal programmable remote controls now that Logitech Harmony remotes aren’t made anymore? Other than expensive smart home control systems?

I know Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz hated making it, but “Trapped In Paradise” has been part of my #Christmas movie rotation for many years. Still a favorite and a true underrated classic.

First Walmart, now Barnes and Noble. A24 exclusives are looking less and less exclusive (except for the hefty price tags).

Incorrect. This should read "Cheap, overpriced garbage products create more returns for retailers."

Don’t know that I’ll ever become a cassette tape collector for real but I am loving the nostalgia, having grown up with a Walkman always glued to my hip.

Wait a sec... Heretic is a comedy? Or just in the way that The Bear is a comedy?
December 9, 2024 at 5:35 PM
Dammit... why do they start pressing all the records I've been wanting for my collection for years... right when I decide to completely get out of vinyl records? 😞

So apparently the Muppet Christmas Carol soundtrack is out of print on CD. I had no idea until I tried to procure a copy on eBay and they start at $60. Can we please get that recent vinyl remaster on CD too please? Paging @iam8bit.com
