EUSPA seeks proposals for a pair of Galileo receivers

With the arrival of the new Galileo satellites in Kourou, preparations are underway for the next steps toward launch, and for continuing to deliver precise positioning and navigation to users around the world.

After crossing the Atlantic Ocean, two Galileo satellites have safely arrived in Kourou in preparation for their upcoming launch on Ariane 6 #VA266.

ESA, EUSPA and OHB SE teams are on site to prepare for the next launch from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana.
After crossing the Atlantic Ocean by air, two Galileo satellites have safely arrived in Kourou and are unloaded from their transport aircraft in preparation for their upcoming launch. Before the Galileo satellites can be launched into space, they are transported to Europe's Spaceport for checks and integration on to the Ariane 6 rocket.

The Sentinel-1 mission – which provides radar vision for the Copernicus Earth observation programme – has a new addition to its family of satellites, with the arrival in orbit of Sentinel-1D, the last of the groundbreaking first generation. The launch took place at 22:02 CET (18:02 local time), on Tuesday, 4 November, on board an Ariane 6 launcher from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana.

Submission deadline: 30/01/2026 23:59 CEST Objective: The high-level objective of the call is the development of a GNSS receiver for LEO (mega-constellation) satellites in the 50 — 500 kg class and space applications with Precise Point Positioning (PPP) capability based on Galileo’s E6 High Accuracy Service, which provides real-time positioning accuracy at least in a range of few decimetres.
