We believe that celebrating a spectacle of international togetherness while ignoring the suffering of millions contradicts the spirit of the Eurovision Song Contest. In response to Israel's inclusion, we have made the difficult decision to boycott this year's contest.

EBU + #Eurovision host broadcasters in the last 10 yrs have treated the ESC with jaded cynicism, and as a silly little thing to be made fun of. We need a return to the hopeful, earnest narratives of ESC's pre-2016. If the ESC doesn't take itself seriously + credibly, why the hell should anyone else?

the barrier to vote needs to be much higher. it is trivial to vote more than 100 times and if there truly is no evidence of coordinated vote stuffing (hard to believe!) then they must do more than just saying so

Among other things, he states the EBU will look at "promotion of acts [...] by delegations and associated parties".

The EBU's chance to ban Israel based on the Contest's values passed by them in 2024. They need a new, solid pretext (e.g. jury manipulation) or they won't do anything. I suspect they will be there next year! #Eurovision
