I compared the lines; if Barcelona hadn't lost to Mallorca on 28 October 2000, the line would have gone to Barcelona -> Villarreal -> Real Madrid -> Boca Juniors. So yeah, it was very close.

Boca Juniors was just one game away to be the UFCC with those gorgeous two Martín Palermo's goals in Tokio.
