Prime Minister Petteri Orpo had an excellent bilateral meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The discussions covered Finland’s comprehensive support for Ukraine, including the recent €100 million contribution for the joint procurement of weapons to meet Ukraine’s needs.

PM Petteri Orpo: Finland supports the 2030 defence roadmap. We have a few years to strengthen our defence, because Russia is, and will remain a permanent threat to Europe.
In Finland we say that we are not afraid, we are prepared. I really hope that Europe can say the same.

PM Petteri Orpo: Finland supports the 2030 defence roadmap. We have a few years to strengthen our defence, because Russia is, and will remain a permanent threat to Europe.
