Do people not realize the entire premise of gen AI is being anti-consent & violating people's boundaries & privacy? The concept of fake girlfriends into noncon in media is nothing new; the technology using REAL people's likeness from photos & videos & artists is the real actual problem here.

We need to have a serious talk about the way "AI companion" apps not only prey on the vulnerable, but are priming their users to ignore consent and to conflate love with control.

It's A LOT harder to get noticed on Twitter, because you're basically walking on eggshells to be good for the algorithm without getting shadowbanned. You're heavily self-censoring yourself just to sell commissions or to talk about anything NSFW or heavy topics.

Twitter users are spreading some crazy misinfo about Bluesky amid this AI art situation. I have a really cynical read on all this — I think there’s fearmongering on Twitter to prevent people from leaving. “Please don’t walk out of the jail, even though the door is open”
