The last paper in 2024 ESUKA/JEFUL is by Niklas Metsäranta who discusses the etymology of four Mari words: Proto-Mari *čükte- ‘light, set fire to’, *poδəla- ‘spoon, slurp’, *pükte- ‘brood (eggs)’, and *püəž- ‘sweat’.
