I think I have officially taught a long time because I saw not one but two of my former students today, the first of whom, as a freshman, was in my artists’ books and zines class at DePaul and now works at the Joan Flasch Artists’ Book Collection at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago

The Internet Archive has to date downloaded 500 terabytes of US government websites, which it crawls at the end of every presidential term. The whole archive is fully searchable. This effort's housed by a donation-funded nonprofit, not a branch of the US government. blog.archive.org/2024/05/08/e...

UPDATE: Secret Service agents — not ICE — were denied entry at a Chicago school despite initial CPS reports, a CPS source said.

I supplied my nephews, niece, and child with disposable cameras and had them shoot a photo a day on our summer trip. I also asked them to write a line each day, but part of the text was lost when my child misplaced her bag so I used only the photos for the zine. My sisters and their husbands 1/2

What are the ladybugs in Chicago doing this December 9th? Earlier this afternoon I shot 15 videos of different ladybugs outside of UIC’s University Hall where there is a wind tunnel, but I don’t think that explains the strange (and late?) appearance of the ladybugs that should be hibernating
