Had a great time at our Wheatley Harbour “Big Sit” looking at gulls and waterfowl. Highlights included migrating Tundra Swans, White-winged Scoter, Common Loon, a Belted Kingfisher, and a couple of Bald Eagles. Several attendees continued on to Wheatley for brunch.

December is our annual member showcase! It's a night of presentations (and sometimes performances) from members of the Club ranging from recent trips to artwork to experiences in the field. Our member showcase will be held at the Ojibway Nature Centre on December 10th at 7pm. Come join us!

Join Essex County Nature this Saturday morning at Wheatley Harbour to get in some close gull study and observe waterfowl flying by on the lake! Bring some coffee or a warm blanket. Once we have our fill of birds, we'll be head to Wheatley for brunch.

Thanks to everyone who attended our walk at Point Pelee National Park on Saturday. The fall colours were out in full force and the park was very active w/ fall migrants including this exceptionally late Baltimore Oriole! Looking forward to upcoming outings in November.
