I spent nearly 2 hours editing a short story today. This is the skill I’m struggling with the most but it felt good today. Hopefully ready to submit before the end of the month. #writingcommunity #writersky #authorsky #writingupdate

I attended a Christopher Moore author appearance at Anderson's Bookshop! He delved into his writing & new novel, Anima Rising. Got to chat with him while he signed 3 books! Glad he told me about the online bonus material for Sacre Bleu. @theauthorguy.bsky.social #ChristopherMoore #AnimaRising

Finished the year with a writing session of nearly 1000 words. Decent finish as I push hard to complete this book in 2025.

Just finished “Inadverent” by Karl Ove Knausgaard, the 39th book I read in 2024. I read so many great books this year and have two new favorite authors: Knausgaard and David Mitchell.

An artist says, ‘I can’t do anything about the chaos in the universe or my country, or even in my own miserable life, but I can at least make this piece of paper or canvas, or blob of clay or chunk of marble, exactly what it should be.’

Congrats to Samantha Harvey on winning the 2024 #bookerprize for her novel. I just finished this novel and her prose weightlessly transports you to a space station in low Earth orbit for 16 sunrises and 16 sunsets over 24 hours.
