Today I'm launching Gepetto (gepetto.sh): a cli-based AI operator to automate QA/DevOps/Data tasks using natural language.

I've built this mainly for myself to automate the QA of my vibecoded projects 😅 But it could be used for so much more, let me tell you... 🧵👇

Busy integrating MCP into opengpa.org and it is so much fun to use 🤩 Here I'm automating a QA task for wonderpod.ai using @playwright.dev and the native email integration.

What's your favorite MCP server I should try to validate my integration?

J'hallucine...

Business idea for my US friends: laptop and smart phone rental for travelers. So you can cross the border naked without risks of being searched and blocked for something you wrote online 😅

In its continuing good reporting on the US (vs our broken press), @zeit.de finds a paper that aligns with Trump's actions, and a supposed "Mar-a-Lago Accord (accord with whom? Trump et al). Zeit warns it could collapse the world economy. www.zeit.de/wirtschaft/2...

Over the last weeks, I became a fan of @ezrakleinbot.bsky.social - insightful critical thinking of the current US situation. This latest piece has also profound parallels with Europe.

We need to fix Europe so it works *for* the people, to enable build/growth/innovation instead of blocking it.

Next time a manager complains about your software development estimates being off 20%... give him this post to read and reflect 😅

My Washing Machine Refreshed My Thinking on Software Effort Estimation — Cosive
I recently had a saga with a washing machine that reminded me why one of the most feared and hated tasks for software developers starts with the question: “So how long will it take you to build that?”

Woaw... @ezrakleinbot.bsky.social from @nytimes.com brings such fresh and hopeful coverage of the US chaos. A new podcast in my playlist 🤩 - His interview of @karaswisher.bsky.social on "the Radicalization of Elon Musk" is eye-opening. Seems a lot more good content on his channel.

"What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, little by little, to being governed by surprise;"

This account of the gradual transformation of Germany to authoritarianism is a must-read given how similar the situation is today in the US.

I dunno what is the most scary: Musk team patching payment system code or teenagers deploying directly to PROD 😂🤦

Musk getting read/write control of the entire software stack of the US Fiscal Service was not on my list for 2025 craziness 😅

Great reporting from the inside by @nathantankus.bsky.social 👍 This reads like an IT spy novel.
EMERGENCY PIECE: It’s not true that DOGE only has “read only” access to the most top secret systems at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service. They have “read AND write” access with a current employee of BFS calling “apocalyptic”

The best investigative press work so far within Musk/DOGE is being done by.. @wired.com ??? That's kind of unexpected 😅👌

EXCLUSIVE: The Bureau of the Fiscal Service is a sleepy part of the Treasury Department. It’s also where, sources say, a 25-year-old engineer tied to Elon Musk has admin privileges over the code that controls Social Security payments, tax returns, and more.

You didn't care about encryption, decentralization, data ownership, self-sovereignty, non-custodial finance,... because you had "nothing to hide". Well, the world can change in a snap, and suddenly you have a lot to hide.

Decentralization, encryption, and blockchain have never been so relevant.

January 27, 2025 at 10:17 AM
January 26, 2025 at 4:39 PM

January 22, 2025 at 4:28 PM

Cela me dépasse.

Super interesting talk by Geoff Hinton on AI risks. In particular his (controversial) point that we should *not* open source big models because it is "like buying nuclear weapons at RadioShack".

Dramatique.
