We have concluded a 3 days training on Agroecology for the Umoja Ninguvu Community Agroecology School in Bugiri district.

The members have been trained on Agroecology as a science, movement and practice. We have delved deeper into a practical session on making organic pesticides.

In collaboration with the District and Lower local governments of Amuru and Serere districts, we held a groundbreaking for two Community Seed Banks (CSBs). These CSBs will enhance small-scale farmers' access to quality seeds, promote seed sovereignty, and reduce dependency on external seed sources.

Farmer Leaders launched the Pamoja Ninguuvu Community Agroecology School in Bugiri & Ntenjeru Community Agroecology School in Mukono district .

The discussions focused on finding solutions for the farming communities that continue to apply inorganic pesticides & fertilizers and other key issues.

We are in Amuru and Serere districts supporting the Farmer Field Schools to set up their experimental designs.

They will be doing experiments on plant breeding using Participatory Variety Selection, Participatory Variety Enhancement as well as local food plants.
