Auckland airport was very ‘kiwi’ - from the tomokanga (wooden gateway) as you arrive to tui birdsong, the jandal chair, the Tui beer bar and the views across the Manukau harbour. These are all things that respondents in my PhD research commented on as important to them. Now? The buzzy bee artwork.
