The phrase: "...ahh that's where the creamy look and the teasing flavor come from..." unnerves me to degrees I cannot fucking explain.

The weather has been turning colder, so in my mind that means that the comfort food items come out to play in my kitchen.

One dish I recently cooked up was a delightful sausage, potato and kale soup. Finished with cream and lemon right before serving, it was outstanding on a fall evening.
