When the USA and its soap-opera politics, gaslighting and then talking heads spreading this disease gets to be too much, I jump on my motorcycle and head to places like this. I would do it every day if I could. The silence is magical.

I let the dogs out this morning and spotted this large dragonfly trying to warm up next to the door. It was definitely cool this morning. I held a finger next to it and he/she climbed right on board! I placed him on the hydrangea next to the dogs' pen so the dogs wouldn't crush him.

I just read a story about a farmer who was murdered in the 1800s. The murderer was caught and sentenced to death by hanging. Apparently, it was the last capital punishment by my state via hanging. The poor farmer was buried in a small cemetery near where I used to go fishing. I had to pay a visit.

Trying to reacquaint myself with my "good" camera after not using it for a few years. The iPhone only goes so far. It feels like I'm starting over from scratch!

We have day lilies in our back yard. They grow seemingly at random. This one sprouted next to the back door of our garage. It's been there for quite a few years and never flowered... not even buds, until THIS year! It's not in a good place but I don't have the heart to rip it out.
