I’m out on this 50F sunny Sunday (won’t last) for errands and a nature fall walk!! Then, I’m planning on getting lunch, coffee, & working on putting together my long waiting poetry for new collections and editing them. This little one this morning said, “no, you can’t go without me!”

After thrifting, we ate at Choolah (I had Paneer!), stopped by B&N, and checked out Christmas trees and decor in a few areas/towns! 🎄😍

I’m getting in the spirit! Anyone else? ✨

Some thrifting tonight (grabbed some fun Christmas stuff & fhis bird book for my collection) before dinner and driving to see some Christmas tree lightings! Thrifting is so therapeutic for me.

It’s been a long week but it went fast and I survived. Here’s a #facefriday photo from last Friday because I didn’t have a chance to post! Thanks to all the discussion and interest this week on things in the writing and book world. 💛

What are your plans for the weekend? Books to read? Places to go?

Mine include loads of laundry tonight after working on book editing. Then, I hope to see some Christmas lightings or such on Saturday! 🎄

After working on book editing and caring for all the cats for the night, I’m glad I put chicken in the crockpot for chicken soft tacos as I’m eating dinner at 1 a.m. I guess I’m like a cat as well haha!

Working on an editing project still for a client but today at a library! A couple gentlemen are recording an album of covers and just sang Hotel California by The Eagles. One of my fave songs! 😄

Any authors or writers or readers still in my BlueSky atmosphere? If so, say hey and what you write. And if I know you, just say hey and what you’re working on.

I’m working on editing and biz stuff tonight in Panera and I hear a mom say, “stop taking photos of strangers in the restaurant.” I look up and see it was me an 5 yr old was photoing and the mom was horrified. I said I don’t care - maybe she was impressed I was working? Maybe I looked cool. 😆

Would anyone like to write & have a guest article posted on my site? DM for consideration.

My site has been around for almost 15 years & guest articles historically do well - their content gets google referrals & views years later. I’d like to add more good content. Will edit.

On my site, I talk about working remotely for the last fifteen years. Oh, the places you’ll go … I never dreamed of this. But it’s been fun writing and editing and changing space, even with kids in tow.

Do you work remotely? Fave places? 👩🏻‍💻

I had a wonderful time in Cleveland yesterday at 3 indie bookstores yesterday and grabbing donuts and dinner at local places there we love. The leaves were so pretty on the historic neighborhood streets, too. I’ll post pics soon, but it was a delightful, fall Saturday. 🍁📚🍩

What’s everyone doing on this glorious (insert your weather) day?

Overcast here unfortunately, but 60F, so wanting to go for a nature walk! 😁

Maybe touching more books, too.

First peppermint mocha with oatmilk of the season tonight at B&N while browsing (was yummy!). I love mysteries so I also grabbed this $5 Christmas mystery. Sounds so good!

Also, scoped out some books for holiday reading (many on my list to look for at the library).

Does anyone in the writing community need editing? Halfway completed with current project, but then, I really need more work. Development, line, copy, proofreading. Many years experience! DM or email for info (link in bio). 20% discount for end of year.

Thankful for shares and referrals. 🫶🏼

Still chilly, but a beautiful fall day! I actually see some sun. I think I’ll stop working a bit early on #editing today and take a walk, followed by some thrifting & bookstore trip.

What are some of the fun things you do for self-care?

Editing tonight at a place I’ve loved to do freelance work at for years - Panera. I work, have dinner & a break, then work further. It’s cozy with the fireplace on & I’m having their orange mint tea! Not an ad, just the truth!

Do you have a go to place for work or writing? 👩🏻‍💻

It is the coldest tonight it’s been since last winter in Ohio! Brrr. Spent the evening working on book editing for a client, some biz organizing, & browsed books while at the library. I wish they had hot cocoa machines!

So much fun on Halloween last night with my daughters! Went and got Addie from college so we could all be together this weekend! My daughters had so much joy seeing each other. We carved pumpkins and are Halloweenish foods and hung out watching stuff. 🫶🏼🎃🍁 #happyhalloween
