Took a fishing trip to northern Saskatchewan. The prairies are not all just flat wheat fields. And the fishing is great.

This is my favourite lake house.

I was talking to a man in Saskatchewan whose house was burned down by the latest forest fires. He said there was a reason that all the fires seemed to start so close to the roads and highways. It wasn’t related to the climate.

The landscape will recover after a forest fire, and while regrowing can be quite beautiful. This is the Waterfound River in Northern Saskatchewan
