I feel like, since the word "woke" got co-opted by culture war knobs on the right, things that everyone has known for years (eg fluoride=good) are suddenly up for debate again, and people feign ignorance lest they be mistaken for being woke/a decent person. I'm shocked they're not re-leading petrol
