I am a trans physician and there is absolutely a way that caring health care providers can balance the need to acknowledge anatomic and physiologic reality in the medical context while respecting the dignity and identity of the patient
Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Being trans does not make someone's body subject to insult or derision. But, too often, our experiences in the ER or doctor's office look like Jennifer Capasso's.

The point is: women’s oppression is sex-based — not “gender-identity-based.”
So if a person permanently changes their sexed physiology to align with the female sex class, the law should acknowledge that change.

Sex based rights absolutely should require confirmation that you are your transition sex. There is no such thing as an intact male body that has the capacity for pregnancy, and vagina. Why should someone be recognized as the opposite sex without changing sex.

You aren't a trans guy if you're congruent with your natal female anatomy , secondary sex characteristics, and phenotype. Marzipan naming that is not rude. You're literally just a gender non-conforming woman.

I’m advocating for transsexuals because when we’re lumped in with cissexual gender nonconformists, we get treated like cissexual gender nonconformists - not like people who are sex affirmed.
