Currently working on two books, having started a Prequel for good measure! Introduced Plots to the Radial Manuscript Timeline (Save the Cat) and ability to show ALL SCENES in the outer ring or toggle to Main Plot, like Order of Pheonix Outline. Restructured info grid at center. Unique ring colors.

Just started sketching out a Prequel to my Cascades Saga and that got me thinking about showing Save The Cat stages (or any Plot Structure) in the Timeline. Each Note with class=Plot will appear as a 10px-wide element and mouseover description for each Subplot ring. #ObsidianMD Github bit.ly/4lHVyDz

Goodness. I'm totally stuck on this one scene for over a month. Got it up to 3,000 words, but this productivity level doesn't cut it. On the plus side, still refining the radial timeline #ObsidianMD Plugin. bit.ly/4lHVyDz

After more than a week, a new 3400-word fresh scene was written for my Zero Draft. <drags hand across brow, sweat flying> Scene 45, Entiat Ultimatum. A snippet: Entiat's eyes narrowed. "Herod Newlan...is that you?" A grim smile crossed the shadowy mask. "I've been waiting for you, Entiat."

Regarding Radial Timeline, I spent 40-60 hours using AI coding tool Cursor to implement as a plugin for ObsidianMD. With AI, you can make one too. No current plans to release mine to Obsidian community until satisfied with the functionality. Maybe end of 2025 w/ my new book. #ObsidianMD #CursorAI

My current WiP status. A lot of backing and filling over the last month. Major editorial reworking of scenes to tighten & smooth prose mostly using ChatGPT 4o, which with a detailed prompt is working marvelously. Examining subplot flow. #ObsidianMD #WiP

Looking at all the new tools (Figma, Spline 3D and more) to create dynamic websites has overexcited me. I keep reminding myself I need to finish the book first and then build a website for the book. Still, revisiting my old skillset in a whole new era will be a hoot.

Here's my GPT 4o prompt. Critique scene in terms of clarity and pacing. Does the opening provide a strong hook? Suggest ways to improve readability and engagement. Encourage showing and not telling. Underwrite, don't overwrite. Keep similies and metaphors well-grounded. (shortened version) #ChatGPT

I find using ai audio narration from ElevenLabs Projects (now Studio) with a Custom Cloned Voice to be an excellent way to get a quick, fresh perspective on the sound of my drafted scene. I always find plenty of edits to improve the flow and clarity. #ElevenLabs

I love the Grammarly "Tab" function, which instantly fixes typos and punctuation errors as I type. It can fix an entire paragraph or just what I've typed so far. It works perfectly in ObsidianMD and all other software I use. #ObsidianMD #Grammarly

Scene 40.6 drafted and now running it through Claude using the prompt for Clarity: Identify parts of this scene where the narrative feels unclear or where the pacing lags. Suggest ways to improve readability and engagement. Provide examples. #obsidianMD #ClaudeAI

Struggle w/ productivity due to health & stress. Any day I progress a scene is a win. Today completed drafting scene and had excellent editorial session with Claude. Great feedback and even suggested ways to connect to future scenes. #claude #obsidian #llm

Good experience having a Conversation w/ Gemini 2 Advanced. Pasted 1k word scene, used voice mode to explore the backstory. Looking for refinements and twists. Ways to improve originality and distinctness. Saved text of the conversation in Obsidian as a note with links to scene and character bios.

Trying Obsidian with the coding tool Cursor to edit my scenes. Mixed results. I would use ChatGPT Canvas, but it tends to fail on my large 2-5k word scenes. Also switch back and forth between Claude and ChatGPT. I love Grammarly's seamless paragraph corrections/rewrites and Tab typo fixes.

Updated my radial narrative timeline to have an Overdue Status (in red, of course). Can't have a book project without lots of late scenes. #AI #ObsidianMD #CursorAI #SciFiWriting #NovelDevelopment

Hello BlueSky! Please allow me to share my new Radial Timeline. With ObsidianMD and the AI coding client Cursor, I was able to make this Plugin to visually represent my Sci-Fi WiP Novel. Each ring is a subplot that shows the scenes over time. #ObsidianMD #CursorAI #SciFiWriting #NovelDevelopment
