I do want Ukraine to be heard and seen
(a hard job, believe me).

Saw this today and loved it.
There’s something very honest, perhaps even naive, in this painting.

Greetings from Kyiv,
where I’m having a warcoffee.
A calm winter day here.

I visited an exhibition to learn more about Ukraine
and to share that knowledge with you.

Have a good Tuesday.

I saw it yesterday and loved it.
I want you to see it too.

A typical photo studio interior in Kyiv, late 19th – early 20th century.

Ukraine was more than the rural image you often get.

Agree. Too often posts only try to evoke emotions, often without facts checked.
I also have to be careful not to fall into this trap.

Sharing knowledge is actually the most valuable part of social media, with so many different people and cultures.

Thank you for teaching us about Ukraine!

What I miss on social media is knowledge.
We see things that evoke emotions,
but rarely those that awaken our minds.

I do and will keep doing unpopular things.
I’ll keep educating you about Ukraine.

Let’s use social media wisely.
Less hype, more knowledge.

🤝 In a world where might makes right, I choose solidarity.

It’s not loud or flashy, but it lasts. Donors and volunteers around @69thsb.bsky.social have delivered 900+ trucks to the front since 2022.

Start the year the way you mean to live it.
In 2026, I choose steadfast solidarity. 💙💛

January 5 is "Holodna Kutia" in Ukraine
More about traditional Ukraine for you.

January 5 is Holodna Kutia (literally Hungry Kutia).
A quiet day of strict fasting before Epiphany.
It was believed that water on this evening holds special power.

Kutia is a traditional Ukrainian ritual dish made of wheat, honey, and poppy seeds.

Written in 1846.

Ukraine will rise from its grave and call out to Slavic peoples – and they will hear her call.
There will be no tsar, no prince, no lord.

Fighting russia's "liberation" - read/watch⬇️
This short report is about the war from up close, about a city that holds on, and about the people upon whom its future depends. Against a backdrop of constant threat, Ukrainian journalist Taras Ibragimov traveled to Kostiantynivka to show what the city's defense looks like today.

Greetings from Kyiv.

Briefly about the night:
a medical facility was hit in the city – four people injured, one killed.
I heard explosions, but they were definitely in another district.

Bombers expected (but not actually) in the morning returned to their airfields.

Concise but perfect reading of this interesting Brotherhood which held ideas that are still very relevant today. The origins of Cyrillic, going back to the 9th C., were a gentle reminder of the wealth of Ukrainian history. Thank you for writing this beautiful letter, Yara. 💙💛

Today, I wrote as usual and later visited a museum. Look what I saw.
