Reading the news from Kharkiv,
where a residential area was hit today.

At least 30 people injured, a child killed 💔

So unfair. The least we can do is shout about russian crimes.

It’s the final part of the Goat Ritual.
I told you about it before.

Next Christmas season, I hope to show and tell you more.
I love how Ukrainian traditions come to life.

2026 has arrived in Ukraine.

As our President said:
We want an end to the war – not an end to Ukraine.

Thank you to everyone who stands with these words.

We are not impossible to break!
May the New Year bring victory closer!
May every day be a step towards a just peace!

Kyiv, evening of December 31.

Please don’t say,
‘It’s hard to believe there’s a war.’
It’s not night yet.
And yes, our air defence is sooo good.

A woman selling these motanka stood near the gates of St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery.

She’s often there, in any weather, offering traditional Ukrainian protective dolls.

The other day, during a power outage, I saw this trolleybus
Despite everything, the driver brings a little joy to people
And it warmed my heart. It's a small thing, but very pleasant🤍

You may know the Petrykivka style, a traditional 🇺🇦 art form with bright flowers and birds.

The one in the video is less known: Mykolaiv painting, a local southern Ukrainian tradition used to decorate wooden chests and household items in the late 19th-early 20th century, with simple floral patterns.

Due to a missile attack, parts of Kyiv and the surrounding region are plunged into darkness. 'We won’t see light in our homes today… Children warm themselves by bonfires because there is no heating at home. We are huddling together with neighbors, facing another difficult winter together!'

Greetings from morning Kyiv.
It’s snowing.
Generators sing, as emergency outages continue.
We had enough electricity to charge everything.

Have a lovely Sunday. Let’s live this life.

Almost midnight in Kyiv.
14 hours without power.
Going to sleep, almost everything is discharged.

I hope the power returns during the night.
If not, tomorrow I’ll find a place to charge my phone.
See you.

Kyiv.
11 hours without power after the attack.
No information on when it’ll return.
EcoFlow is off.
Phone, laptop, and internet are still holding on –
as we are (and we’ll hold on longer 😉).

Kharkiv tonight.

The air raid sirens haven’t stopped all day or night. A Russian glide bomb struck a road yesterday, claiming two lives. And yet, despite everything, we are still here celebrating life.

Life after the night attack.

Water is back.
Heating’s better.
Air raid alert again.
No power.
Generators sing about hope.

This city stands – wounded, but stands.
