In this workshop Lisa Martinez will discuss the value of ancestral healing practices and a variety of modalities including ceremony, story-telling, and spiritual work as well as offer some insight as to the ways successful healing is measured when utilizing these culturally rich practices.

I'm quite surprised X scored so well on The Red Light Rules; I generally assume slashers with sex workers present means she is going to be one of the characters that ends up dead. I'm happy that X flips that stereotype and has Maxine as the final girl in both X and Maxxxine."

Zola is a horror movie (lol) – a white girl with a skin crawling blaccent, the Black main character being held against her will, and men being disgustingly bold– horrific indeed. I had to do a nervous system reset after watching the film because it made me feel so many things.

So many myths about the cause of abuse. Debunking these myths are important to shift the focus away from sympathy (that then functions as justification, minimization and absolving) into clarity around action and accountability. Because the actual cause of abuse is unethical and distorted values.
