Compassionate cynic. Going steady with science, but seduced by the occult.

Believes in reason, possibly a Deist, certainly a perverse paradox.

Craves art, books, philosophy, tarot, the profane, and the absurd.

Advocate of cruelty-free peanut butter.

The #BlueSky Collective is turning the world upside down! We're the #worldwide grid of #communication, #self-expression, and #love! We're taking down the systematic platform of hatred. We have reached the end of an era. We are building the world anew.

A love for books should begin early. Once it’s there, lifelong learning is undoubtedly the road ahead.

Libraries are the strongholds of a society’s future. Keep knowledge accessible, regardless of financial class.
If we care about the future of our children - we need a library & a librarian in every single school, to help every single child find the books that will make them lifelong readers! Libraries & librarians create the readers of the future! #libraries #librarians #literacy

Collective Reading
The Magician

An individual day contains a microcosmic insight into the longterm reality we're building. We tend to emphasize "the big choices," but ultimately, it's the small ones we make daily that irrevocably shape our future realities.

Choose well.

Yes, let’s! We’d drink coffee and eat cookies while plotting new shenanigans designed to mind fuck humanity - oh, like “The Dress.”

Screw you reality, it still looks GOLD and WHITE to my twisted head.

Now that’s the work of the devil.

I've begun reading "Still Life with Woodpecker" by Tom Robbins. I'm enjoying the whimsical style, quirky similes, and slant of perception.

Excluding any egregious spoilers, what are your thoughts on this book, or others by this author?

Prosperity and security are rooted first in a state of mind; the physical aspects grow from that foundation. Without that mentality, it means nothing.

Breathe in. Tides are shifting.
Breathe out. Break the pattern.

Life can be unfair, isolating, and damn challenging. Luckily, sucky streaks can't last forever. Be ready for opportunities as they appear; expect the playing field to even out.

Meaning: The wistful, nostalgic, and almost magical feeling one experiences in an old bookstore.

Bacon blues. But pigs are delicious.

Today's funny word is the German “kummerspeck” which describes some excess weight gained from emotional eating.
Literally “grief bacon.” 🥓

My splurge purchase. After being away from work sick, and paying for a crazy expensive inhaler, I’m a bit short.

Still, I saw this deck and decided that I must have it. The art is delightfully eldritch and captivating. Lots of skulls, too.

Yesterday I got to lay eyes on the one and only Codex Regius Poetic Edda.

This little book is by far the most valuable book in Iceland, and arguably for the whole of Northern Europe. It was written during the 1270s and it is the sole source of so much that we know about Norse Mythology.

I can never understand why children's books get left out of "great book" lists. The books we call "children's books" are really books written for an audience that includes children, but excludes no-one. They are books for EVERYONE - and if you exclude them, you miss the most important books of all!
