I speak a lot about entrepreneurship and helping emerging artists discover new ways to engage.

Last night I was vulnerable. Tried a new type of performance. An informance where I spoke to the audience about my Process. Rather than present a polished piece, we had a conversation about curation.

What an incredible weekend at the GCEC conference in Calgary. Met amazing people that believe entrepreneurship and the humanities can coexist and thrive!

I almost never post anything political except to lament how the arts are dying, but I appreciated this post today. When are we doing the in-depth work! @hithapalepu (unfortunately not on Bluesky)
she was right (and we're still wrong about why we lost)

Folds: If we’ve been told our whole lives that we can’t spend money on the arts because they’re not important—then why was taking over the Kennedy Center and the arts the first thing they did?

It is extremely important. It’s the bedrock of self-expression.

So, in the past I have called contacted schools in worldwide to teach masterclasses, sing recitals. I always get a few bites back, especially since I have been doing this for over 10 years and have the credentials. I also have the financial resources from my university to do it.

Nothing. 👇

I just spent a week taking care of my dear friend who had spine surgery a week ago. Her husband died last year and she needs all the people to help her through.

I just want to say-to all you round the clock caregivers- you are amazing and hero’s. New found appreciation! 🙏

Did you know that Monday is National Schwa Day? My daughter’s class is celebrating and as a western classical singer, I am both pissed and kind of in awe that the Schwa, which is the bane of all classical singers existence is getting its own day.

@katejbaer.bsky.social as a nationally recognized western classical singer and with a Grammy nominated composer putting a project together, would love to have a conversation about using some of your work for a new piece?

When they come for library and museum services, the arts are in dire danger. The Kennedy Center changed the game. The administration during the first term left the arts alone, but now they realize the strength and what the arts can actually do for society. Don’t give up.

Suppose you are a student at an academic institution or a leader at an Entrepreneurship Center. What co-curricular activities engage faculty and/or students? Please don't use the BizPitch/Hackathon - already done and dusted. Thoughts that speak to the already busy world of academics.

Local politics mirror entrepreneurship. How do we get our younger people interested in dictating the change/being in the room to make a change, to run for local office, and be involved in where the change is happening?? Should more Entrepreneurship Centers be doing this work?
