(3) the “transaction” isn’t with your children, it’s with society. The work you are doing is raising the next generation of lawmakers, doctors, teachers, artists, authors, etc. Those who (hopefully) will make the changes we need to see that impact everyone.

(2) Being a stay home parent is a lot of unpaid work, generally done by women. Society does not view this work as a job because of capitalism. But it is necessary work.

Many refer to it as a “job” because society degrades the work that is being done in parenting. So many say, “ oh you’re JUST a stay home parent” “must be nice to do nothing all day” (1)

I need to disassociate from this sh!t storm as my physical health is starting to suffer…favorite tv shows, audiobooks, movies, etc that have helped you?

WTF are we going to do?! I’ve never been filled with so much rage. My mental health is not going to take the next however many years without doing something to fight back. So again I ask - what can we do?!
