Started but pausing this one. After just finishing "Lords of the Hunt", this one is hitting differently. Not to mention I'm just not in the mood for high schooler characters.

I'm having crap luck with my bobbin thread running out 1/2" away from the end of my seam. It's happened 3 times this morning. 🫠

Okay, I have some thoughts and worries. It is definitely a series, so now I have to wait for book 2 with my library. Checking some series reviews, there is some disgruntlement regarding a time jump at the end, and it feeling wrapped in a way the author seemed bored. Concerning. However....
This new reading streak of mine has been so much fun. And yall i just started this yesterday with about 20 min. The other 7 hours I've listened to today non stop while sewing. I'm really enjoying this one.

Giving Gravity Falls a try after being told to watch it for years
Life changing? No. But it was an enjoyable story. I liked the characters and enjoyed the genderqueer elements. It was nice to relate to.
I think my only note was that the ending felt like it came kinda suddenly. There were more climactic moments earlier in the book that felt more heightened.

Newest read. Took a minute to feel invested and now it's hard to believe I'm halfway through. It's shorter at only 6 hours but I'm loving the Jewish story with a touch of the gender queer element to it.

Okay, I can say I loved this book. I love a story that has that coming of age esque vibe. Also, I've learned I love early 1900 to mid century settings.

I've seen people for years wish for a Muppets remake of this story and that story. So, like..... Disney, what's with the delay? They know people want it. It feels like something people would flock to the theaters for right now.

Okay, so I didn't cry at Defying Gravity. I think because I was expecting it. But I did cry at Ariana's performance in Good News 💔 Man, I absolutely loved her performance. I've always held the softest spot for Glinda. A TED talk for after part 2 comes out.

Seeing Wicked this morning. Bought our tickets when the theater was completely empty. Only two other people in the theater and they bought seats directly next to us.... like yall... there was a whole theater. You kidding me?

Sometimes, the thing we love can take over and leave us out of balance. Chasing the thrill of projects that yield dopamine AND satisfaction is extremely tempting. This pursuit is so easy to fall into, but balance is essential, and without it, no matter how good it may feel, you'll eventually crash.
