P.s. I do appreciate the intentions of these candlelight vigilantes, who were mourning the outcomes of many ICE encounters over the past year. I just need them to take like three steps back from the edge of the road.

I don’t have to imagine this, because it happened to me today. As a person who consumes horror novels via audiobook on their commute, I expect the calls to come from inside the house, not outside.

A candlelight vigil is a beautiful way to find comfort in times of bereavement, but maybe not ~6 inches from the side of the road? Imagine getting jump-scared while you’re commuting home from work by a bunch of dark figures with under-lit faces staring solemnly out at you.
