No, I don't want to load up my emails in another tab, then go find the code you put in the body, and go back to the original tab, paste it in, then go back to my email tab to close it, and then back to the actual service I was logging into.

Trying to ditch Lightroom, so giving darktable another go.

Installed, opened it up, and… presented with an entirely greyed out UI 🤔

Except it wasn't. That's the default theme – it's intentional. I genuinely googled before realising.

These folks desperately need a UX/UI designer. 😫

Is fuzzy search actually good for the majority of end users? 🤔

@discord.com is one example using fuzzy search, much to my chagrin. Searching for 'responsive' brings up results like 'responses' – completely irrelevant for me.

At a minimum these services should allow "exact string" search.

Very real use case for me: Cleaning up spam from @dribbble.bsky.social's search results.

Every greyed out element is from one agency intentionally spamming the wrong category.

All it took:

Almost every post on the ‘Discover’ tab on this site is:

- some sort of ‘Us vs. Them’
- some variation of ‘this place is so much better’
- hate about something/someone
- aggregator spam accounts

It’s just as divisive and guff as on Twitter, and that’s without even mentioning replies.

Gutted. 😕
