As the temps drop dogs stay inside more, less walks, short time outside. And I get calls of behavior issues on the rise that have a common theme. Your pup has cabin fever. Introduce play and indoor enrichment activities to mix it up between the holiday shenanigans.

When you're teaching your dog to opt in to grooming and veterinary procedures, and introducing the various aspects of that kind of handling, don't forget about "peering intently." It's an often overlooked part of care that freaks a lot of dogs out.

Hello! Excited to be here! I work with dogs overseeing behavior in rescue, foster, and life thereafter. Expanding their lives beyond the kennel and enriching their world for mind, body and soul pre-adoption. Following applied science based positive reinforcement practices.
