The drawing machines by my students are inspiring like every year. They let them understand loops and simple algorithms in their first semester. The LEGO Education SPIKE Prime sets and Blockly is quickly understood and ready to use.

I found an affordable Xsens Awinda kit on eBay. 17 Micro-USB cables. Powering off takes 7 seconds per sensor. ;-)

New project! @yufeng.bsky.social analyzed all of the words found on NYC Streets. The data comes from from 8 million Google Street View images, which yielded 138 million snippets of text:

Setting up TensorFlow Lite for Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera and compiling rpicam-detect was surprisingly complicated. Installing a .deb and manually writing the .pc file worked in the end.
