Here's a #HigherEducationPostcard of Gregynog Hall

Gifted to the University of Wales in 1960, Gregynog hosts conferences, often academic, and will I suspect be known to many UK academics

Thanks to @emmaraczka.bsky.social we now know that this parade was walking up Station Terrace, and my guess is then turning right to go to what is now the rugby club, but back then might well have been playing fields

So probably St David's College v Cardiff Uni, but what year?
Here's a #HigherEducationPostcard puzzle

This is entitled "Lampeter welcome to Cardiff University"

I can't work out the occasion

The card is undated but looks early C20

@cardiffunilib.bsky.social @uwtsd.bsky.social @uwtsdlib.bsky.social any thoughts as to what was going on?

I’m not sure what’s worse:

That Puma thought it was a good idea to shoehorn some odd lyrics about running into a comedy pothead anthem; or that they completely disregarded the apostrophe.

Important article about the very real impact on victims. So much digital naivety from the authorities and those responsible.

Why would you ignore the circumflex on Llŷn? Little bit annoyed at the lack of use of the Welsh diacritic in popular news items, particularly when you see Éowyn done right in the next paragraph.

Today I am asking:

If you’re a publication that’s writing about skills gaps in different UK nations and English regions, have you thought about asking for comments more widely than just England’s Department for Education?

Why is Musk bothered about the 109km rail line between St Pancras and the Channel Tunnel?

And why are travellers from the UK saying that skilled tech immigrants to the US should stop in Kent?
