Slowly but surely getting there with editing book five and my dreaded scrivin admin!

Super cheap rosé from Monaco and a homemade charcuterie board is my reward once I tick another item off my to-do list.

Woke up because of an awful nightmare and it was partially fuelled by what I’m writing about right now. I’m calling it an exorcism. And this means it’s likely bloody good writing.

On the plus side, it meant I got to see this gorgeous sunrise in the Portuguese countryside!

Bloody brilliantly said, Emma!

A "Scots AI", like any sort of Generative AI application, is NEVER about making life easier for anyone: it's about lining grifters' pockets under the false pretence of "inclusion"

Scots speakers are "left behind"? Fine! Get tae fuck! We dinnae want tae come onywey! 🖕

I wasn’t going to post this outside of TikTok, but given the impact AI has had on me and ither scrivers, naw.

Ah fink it’s fair tae explain why it’s a bad fing in nae uncertain terms. And ah’m no even thit coherent in this video.

I would honestly be able to write *so much* if my brain decided to stop trolling me 20% less of the time.

But hey-ho, maybe the brain goblins are the reason I’m half good at writing in the first place.

Anither 1,000 wurds in the bag!

I’m so glad I didn’t finish ‘Cathy, get yer Dancin Shoes Oan’ until 2025.

Sometimes stories decide when they are ready on their own – and it’s the author’s job to just show up so they can happen.

Also, whit a view fae ma windae!

‘Always go a little further out into the water than you think you’re capable of going; that’s when you’re on the verge of doing something interesting.’ – David Bowie on creativity.

I just had to stop writing as the climax of book five is SO DRAMATIC. But this is a good thing!

I’m starting my dreaded writing admin today AND attempting to write a bonus chapter of book five.

Espresso at the ready, but luckily the sun is shining for me!

I’m not famous and I don’t have a massive following.

And I know this is never going to pay the bills.

But if you like the Scots language and poignant stories about life, please do consider checking it out and sharing:
