Finally it is out! It was an absolute pleasure working with such a wonderful team. Truly amazed by them all! Thank you so much everyone involved.
Here is a long-anticipated manifesto for New Diplomatic History! Written by young researchers of the network, it aims at questioning and defining the aims, nature, and purpose of the discipline.
If you have ever wondered what NDH could stand for, this is an important read!

Todays morning walk with the dog brought some nice peace and quiet at my impromptu writing retreat to Stockholm. Now I will once more throw myself in to the depths of rewriting my social network chapter.

I love finding small tidbits that makes me chuckle: like count Ekeblad, who writes to his wife from Paris that he has hired an old female servant to do his laundry so that he will not be tempted by her.

He also mentions that the embassy is turning into a convent, lacking any female presence

Any other PhDs who is about halfway and really just miss the archival research. Although writing is going good I miss the smell of old paper and the sneezes from my fellow archive rats. #PhDlife

Always lovely to present the thesis, especially when it is available to the public! (Although trying to keep it to only 10 minutes is near impossible) #PhDlife
