My paper "Examining the Interface Design of Tidyverse" is now published in ANZJS. This paper calls attention to the importance of UI/UX principles & approaches to statisiticians and #rstats developers.

Congratulations to my student, Maggie Ma, for publishing her first #rstats package {ggincerta} on CRAN 🥳

Spatial uncertainty visualisation (bivariate, pixel, exceedance, glyph), like {Vizumap}, but fully integrated with ggplot2 -- a much simpler API with all the advantages of the ggplot2 system.

We should remind ourselves how statistics has been and continues to be fundamental to data driven approaches.

It’s been appalling to hear about the undermining of stats, eliminating stats programs (UTS, UOW, UNL.. 😡) and thinking that AI/ML is a replacement for it.
