The latest volume of the Journal of Imaginary Research features a piece titled "Lights, camera, apocalypse: Why the world ends in NYC", where I consider the disproportionate frequency of apocalypse set in New York compared to other global cities. Please take a look and share widely!
Volume Ten of the Journal of Imaginary Research is out today! This year's theme is Flourishing!

We publish micro-fiction in the format of the Research Abstract, to encourage imaginative writing in the academy, entirely for fun.

"She is not portrayed as a victim, but as a campaigner. The difference in how these women are portrayed is effective in showing how climate vulnerability is understood". @ckweatherill.bsky.social on climate crisis photography and visual politics
My first article in the Conversation! Draws on my vulnerability work, but also engages with the work of others who have written about climate communication; UK vulnerability, and what we're facing as we go past 1.5.
