Check out my new paper with Andra Pascu-Lindner @ejpgjournal.bsky.social. Using survey experiments, we show that voters do not view potential women PMs as less competent in forming governments or less influential over policy outputs when compared to men. Read more:

I show the feminization strategy doesn’t always work to reduce voter punishment for corruption in LatAm. But in Guatemala where women’s rep is low & “fairer sex” stereotypes more prevalent amongst survey respondents, voters punish a party less post-scandal when new candidate is a woman. Read more👇🏻📑:

I defended my dissertation yesterday! 🎉 Thank you to my committee for their guidance and feedback, and thank you to my Rice community for all their support. I’m especially grateful to my advisor @schwindtbayer.bsky.social for all of her support, encouragement, and belief in me these past 6 years!
