why not? they are the best at what they do. there are pro circuits for plenty of other olympic sports and there is never any discussion about whether those athletes should be allowed to compete. this is bettman propaganda.

One thing I’ve noticed about Ring camera brain poisoning is how fast it happens. I can’t believe how quickly I’ve seen multiple friends go from “oh I don’t really want this but my landlord installed it / my dad bought it for us / I guess it can’t hurt” to “I SAW SOMEONE SUSPICIOUS OUTSIDE MY HOUSE

I like that Trump was clearly like hell yeah this’ll scare them straight, meanwhile every Canadian on my timeline is like “oh the Chinese government won’t let my hockey team play? Don’t threaten me with a good time.”

The thing about the LRT stations is that they’re going to age like shit. They’re like bare drywall with putty smears. Nothing is tile or stone. Imagine how bad they’re going to look after one month of commuter traffic.

Buck was the best to ever do it not just because he was a great broadcaster but because he was an old guy who didn’t get left behind by the game. He always praised the Jays for having fun and playing with joy and he wasn’t above changing his mind. He was the model, not Smoltz.
Buck saying he initially opposed extended netting but came around on it because it’s saved so many people who are “eating popcorn or having a cold beer” is why I love him. Old school guy whose mind can be changed, only guy on earth not citing ~kids on their phones~ there
