Fantastic story! Also, it me: "Some of the chimps are more food-motivated than others. A few have been known to try taking shelter in two buildings, running into one and then back outside and into another, in order to receive two treats."

🧪 Spillovers are really common, for swine flu, bat coronaviruses, etc. Most of them don't transmit easily person to person, which saves us from frequent outbreaks or pandemics. But it only takes that one time to have a really bad outcome (by @emilyanthes.bsky.social).
