Our phones are computers. It's not "sideloading", it's installing an application. The vocabulary we use matters because we are conditioned to the idea that unless we download apps from sources provided by the manufacturers, we are doing something wrong or dangerous.

I'm gradually migrating from Flatpak to traditional system packages on my Mint installation.

When I switched back to Linux, I thought primarily using Flatpaks would be good idea, mainly because how easy it is to have all files of an app inside one directory, thus being able to++

It has arrived. Reddit now asks for photo ID or a selfie for age restricted content in the UK.

Soon to be on other apps too. Probably on other countries as well. Don’t be surprised when we need digital IDs to create any account. Goodbye privacy.
